At Nelda we don’t just plant trees, we nurture them as well. Our volunteers are our strength when it comes to planting & nurturing saplings. We understand it is not possible for everyone to physically be a part of the plantation drive even though you wish to, so Nelda made it easy for you – just donate a tree & volunteers at Nelda will plant it for you!
Donate a Tree: When you visit Nelda’s website, you get the opportunity to donate a tree. According to your wish, choose the features that you like & make the donation online. Our team will follow up with you to confirm.
We Plant It: After we buy saplings on your behalf, our volunteers at Nelda plant them for you.
We Take Care of It: We don’t stop after planting the tree, we are dedicated to making it self-sustaining & until then, Nelda takes the responsibility to care of them.

When the rest of the world is busy cutting trees & growing forests of metals & cement, Nelda aims to give back what we are taking from mother nature. Why Nelda?
Nelda stands for ‘champion’. As the name stands, we aim to become champions in making the earth a greener place. Nelda is a tree plantation NGO working towards the goal of helping people plant more trees. Nelda is a non-profit organization from Pune with a vision of having green footprints all over the globe. With successful plantation drives & support from volunteers, we are getting closer towards our aim. This is not a one man mission but a team effort, and it will require everyone to work together and be the change we desire to see in the environment.
Nelda aims towards making the world a greener place than how we found it. Nelda has been working sincerely for the cause since 2016 and has paced ever since. With thousands of saplings under our care & more to come, we are motivated everyday with each sapling donated and the efforts our volunteers put.

When you donate a tree, we do the plantation in Pune at Hanuman Tekdi, S.B. Road. But we also have certain other projects going on, you can call us to confirm.
The plantation is done at the beginning of the monsoon season, i.e generally in June or July. But sometimes, based on the rainfall, we can plant until October as well.
Yes. You can pay online to donate a tree & we accept debit/credit cards, UPI, net banking, etc.
Unfortunately, you cannot donate directly from outside India. But you can get in touch with our team and we will guide you about the same.
Yes, once your donated sapling is planted, you will receive the GPS location.
Yes, you can physically join the plantation after you donate a tree. Just register with your WhatsApp number and you will be notified when there is a plantation drive.
You can get in touch with us after you donate a tree and our team will revert you back with all the necessary support.
Yes, if you want a specific tree to be planted, you can convey the message to us and we will do our best to source it. However, due to availability issues, some species may not be available.
Yes, during the plantation drive you can bring your sapling to our project location(s) and can plant it in person with our team.

It’s that easy. There are no hard steps. We keep the process simple. Our young team of volunteers is ready anytime to discuss things with you. At Nelda, we always believe that it will take all of us to save our environment. It’s not just one person’s or one organisation’s job. That’s why we work so hard throughout the year for tree plantations and maintaining the trees that we’ve planted. As you donate a tree with Nelda, you’ll be supporting our efforts and essentially doing your part for the environment.
Also, it’s not really expensive to donate a tree. With just Rs. 500, you can donate a tree and make a difference. So ask yourself- is it too much to ask? Can’t you simply skip just one regular hotel dinner to plant a tree? I think you’ve got your answer.
