History
In 2016, we launched Project Nelda to help plant and grow a billion trees by 2041.
Our journey began on June 26, 2016, when over 25 volunteers planted 200+ trees at Hanuman Tekdi, Pune.
Our first collaboration was with IMERT, Pune, where students actively participated in Nelda activities.
By May 2017, we had successfully planted over 500 trees. Today, the Nelda Foundation is nurturing thousands of trees in the Pune region.
We believe environmental work requires a collective effort, so our events are public and open to all.
Nelda focuses on involving young people and recognizing their role in achieving sustainable growth.
We primarily plant native trees like Karanj, Neem, and Banyan, which restore ecological balance and combat climate change.
